What is Nudgy Bot?

Nudgy Bot is a Slack bot that automatically reminds your team about pending pull requests on GitHub. It helps reduce review times and keeps your development workflow moving smoothly.

How does the bot know which PRs to remind about?

The bot monitors your mapped GitHub repositories for open pull requests that have requested reviewers but haven't been reviewed yet. It checks the status periodically and sends reminders based on your configured schedule.

Can I customize the reminder frequency?

Yes! Each repository has its own reminder configuration. In the Home Tab, click "Edit" on any repository to set when each reminder is sent (hours after PR opens). By default: 1h, 4h, 10h, 34h, then every 24h.

Is Nudgy Bot free?

Yes! Nudgy Bot is completely free and open source. There are no subscription fees or premium tiers. All features are available to everyone, including:

• Unlimited GitHub organizations and repositories
• Customizable PR reminders per repository
• Weekly statistics and leaderboards
• Beautiful Home Tab configuration UI

Does the bot have access to my code?

No. The bot only has read-only access to pull request metadata (title, reviewers, status, etc.). It never reads your actual code or has write permissions to your repositories. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Can I map multiple repositories to the same Slack channel?

Yes! You can map as many repositories as you need to any Slack channel. All PR notifications from those repositories will be sent to the same channel.

How do I temporarily disable notifications?

To pause notifications for a repository, open the Home Tab, click "Edit" on the repository, and remove it. You can easily add it back later with the same configuration by clicking "Add Repository from [Your Org]" and selecting it from the dropdown.

What happens if I remove the GitHub App?

If you uninstall the GitHub App, the bot will no longer be able to access your repositories and will stop sending notifications. Your Slack workspace configuration is preserved, so you can easily reconnect by reinstalling the GitHub App.

Can I use this with private repositories?

Yes! Nudgy Bot works with both public and private GitHub repositories. You can add unlimited repositories from any of your GitHub organizations.

How do weekly statistics work?

Weekly statistics are configured per-repository in the Home Tab. Click "Edit" on any repo, enable "Weekly Stats", and choose the day and time. Stats are posted to that repo's channel. You can also get stats on demand by clicking "This Week's Stats" or "Last Week's Stats" buttons.
