Quick Setup
Add to Slack
Start by adding Nudgy Bot to your Slack workspace. This enables the Home Tab interface where you'll configure everything.
Open the Home Tab
In Slack, search for @Nudgy Bot, click on it, and open the Home tab. You'll see a beautiful interface to configure everything!
Link GitHub (Automatic)
In the Home Tab, click "Add Organization". You'll be redirected to GitHub to authorize repositories, then automatically redirected back to Slack. ✨
💡 Tip: If you installed GitHub first (opposite order), you can manually link it using the Installation ID from github.com/settings/installations/THE_INSTALLATION_ID which is usually an 8-digit number.
Configure & Done!
Add repositories, choose Slack channels (public or private), customize reminder timing, and optionally enable weekly stats. Everything is point-and-click in the Home Tab!
💡 Private Channels: For private channels, invite the bot with /invite @Nudgy Bot in the channel. Public channels work automatically!
What permissions are needed?
GitHub: Read access to pull requests and repository metadata
Slack: Send messages, read channels, and manage Home Tab UI
All permissions are read-only except for sending notifications to your team.
